I have created a number of web pages and saved them. I am able to view them
in the browser. However, when I attempt to open the pages in FrontPage again
I get the error message "Couldn't open file" followed by the correct path to
the web page.

Is this the type of error message you're getting?

Could not open file: C:\Documents and Settings/Yourname/Local
Settings/Temporary Internet Files/FrontPageTempDir/cd9b1215.html

Download FP Cleaner: http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and run the
functions that clear the FrontPage Temporary files and the Cache(*.web)
files.

The error is as you say except that the path leads to the exact location I
have stored the file in, not to the Temporary Internet Files folder.
I have tried using FP Cleaner but with no success.

Are these web pages in a web site or are they standalone pages?
