All of the sudden, I cannot open messages.
They are greyed out and will not open
Also, I cannot create a new message.

Have run the virus program,

cleaned all up,

and still am having problems -- this is truly an urgent problem

Care to share any configuration information?
It's hard to troubleshoot without knowing at least your version of Outlook
and mail account type.
When did it last work?
What did you change since then?

Am running Vista home premium 64 bit.
Outlook 2003
last worked yesterday and only thing I can think of that is different is:
tried to download the VOX IE upload program thinking it might work with
Vista: sixapart_vox_wizard.reg.
I don't think it was installed because I read that it will sit on your desk
top until you use another program to install it. I did double click it but
nothing happened.

Also in Device Driver -- ISATAP adapter #3 windows cannot load driver code
31. I cannot seem to find a reference to what that is all about.

Thanks, Roady, you have been a big help in the past and I appreciate what
you can do to help me.

Let know what other configurations you need, etc.

Outlook 2003 uses IE to show HTML formatted messages so this could
definitely be related.
Considering it is a registry file, you could open it and see what is inside
it. You'll find references to registry keys that they've changed or added.
Export those keys (assuming they've only added their own) and then remove
them, restart your computer and see if it works now.

Another thing that you could try, is to see if it works in Outlook Safe
Mode;
Start-> type: outlook.exe /safe

Doing a full reset on IE could do the trick as well;
Control Panel-> Internet Options-> tab Advanced-> button Reset...

As for the ISATAP issue, see;

Thanks for the help !
I did run safe mode, and I CAN open the messaages in safe mode.
BUT, cannot find a new 3rd party program in the list of installed programs.
So, it must be the vox registry wizard.
BUT, I cannot figure out how to open it to look inside as you suggest.
I would rather remove it if I can and see if that works.
Is that possible?

If it works in Outlook Safe Mode, see if disabling all your add-ins manually
solves it.
See http://www.msoutlook.info/question/88
If so, enable them one by one to find the culprit.

To see what is in the reg-file, you can open it in Notepad.

I did not have any add-ins.

Did find the registry entry.

Delete it using regedit ?

OR do I have to use note pad?

If use notepad, how to move the reg entry back and forth ?

Thanks

I took a a chance and did delete the Vox key using Regedit.

Thanks so much for your help.

Will not take a chance again on an XP file working in Vista.
