Cannot open McAfee in Safe mode

's Computer Specifications

i cannot open my Mcfee Total Protection 2007 in safe mode. the icon is there
but won't open. just installed it a few weeks ago and i'd like to run a scan
in safe mode. any ideas what might have happened?
