Running Outlook 2003 on Vista Business. Have copied outlook express folder
from old PC to C: on Vista. Import says "Cannot open mail folder". I
imported into Windows Mail so it isn't a security problem, as the folder and
all subfolders/files are owned by the user who has full control of the folder
and files.
What can the problem be? Is it because there is no email acount set up as
yet?

You have to export FROM Windows Mail.

In Mail, export msgs to OL
If you import msg dates are changed
