Hi Joel,
This might happen if the file association is lost. The following steps
might do the trick:
On the desktop, double-click My Computer.
Click Tools, and then click Folder Options.
On the File Types tab, under Registered file types, scroll down and then
click the JPG file type.
Click Change, click Imaging/paint/IE or whichever viewer you were using to
view jpeg files, and then click OK.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for file types JPE and JPEG. After modifications are
complete, click Close.
