When I try to open an .eml file I get the following error message:

This file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following previewer
Microsoft Office Outlook Message and Item previewer
To open this file in its own program, double click it.

It does not work to double click again, just get same error message. How do
I fix this to allow me to open the messages?

do you have the google desktop search installed?
