I cannot open a DB with *.pcx extension in Access2003

I have been able to open this db in access 97 and 2000, I get an error
message - Microsoft office access doesn't support the file format of the file
xxxxx or the file is too large.

Microsoft Access doesn't open files with a pcx extension. Earlier versions
only looked at the header in the file, current versions look at both header
and data.
