I cannot open an access database in XP which was created in NT

I get this

Micrsoft Access cannot open this file

The file is located outside your intranet or on an untrusted site

The cause of this is usually a dot or period (.) somewhere in the file name
or path of the database, other than the .mdb (or .mde, or .adp, or whatever)
extension.
