cannot move from inbox to calendar screen freezes

I need to be able to move from the inbox to the calendar when making
appoitments this has been possible in the past but now won't let me screen
freezes and closes down completely

So what have you tried so far to fix the problem?
Which version of Outlook do you have?
What add-ins do you use?
