Cannot mass delete emails "not responding"

's Computer Specifications

Hi i am having trouble recently doing any mass deletion of emails in the
"sent" or "deleted Items" boxes. A message comes up saying "not
responding"when the computer freezes
Any help would be greatful

And an individual delete is OK?
And with outlook closed, if you run the repair tool, scanpst.exe against
your data file, what is the result?
