Cannot map network drive over VPN, using ADSL

I am using XP Professional. Connecting to Remote Network using the
Cisco VPN Client. My Internet connection is ADSL, done through a WAN
Miniport Dialup (PPOE).

When I try to map network drives, I am told that "The network name
cannot be found". I know that I am using the correct network names and
shares - I have mapped these exact same drives before on different
computers.

I was also able to do this on my previous computer (also connected
through VPN). The main difference that I can see here is that right now
I have to use a dialer to connect to the ADSL connection (before I did
not).

Any ideas on things I can try to get these drives mapped?

Thanks,
Yaakov Ellis
