I notice this happens sometims, it's when the APA kicks
in, if the client can find a DHCP server to obtain and IP
address.
So what you need to do is specify your IP settings by
right clicking and accessing the LAN properties and give
it a IP address something like 192.168.0.5 or whatever
have you and set DNS servers, and the gateway which would
be 192.168.0.1.
Or you could go to XP Pro on both systems, that's what I
would do I've had problems with XP home on networking
situations already.
