Cannot Log In During Boot

Well,
I have never set a password because I am the only one who uses this
computer.
Yesterday, I installed .net software and suddenly I am getting a
prompt for an administrator password and a message saying I cannot be
logged in.
Can anyone tell me how to get past this?
