Can someone please help, and explain in idiots language so that I
fully understand the solution.

At my place of work, I have dual boot system. Windows 98 SE on one,
and Windows XP Pro on the other. My computer is connected to the
network and both systems did connect, and I was able to log on to the
network.

I have upgraded the XP system with Service Pack 2. Now, I cannot log
into the Network. When I try to set up my Network I/D (using name,
password and domain I know to be correct) I receive this
message, ...."the security database on the server does not have a
computer account for this workstation trust relationship".

Nothing has changed on the server, and I am still able to log in on
the Win 98 system.

I have administrator rights on the XP system, so please tell me what's
going on. It's driving me mad.

Sounds like your computer was set up at some stage to get
validated by an NT4 domain, e.g. when it was connected to
your office network. Best to ask the office network administrator
to assist.
