Aloha all. I have a jpg pic that I want to use as wallpaper, but XP will not
load it, or even recognize it. When I do R-Click on the desktop, and go
through Properties/Desktop, it will not even show the name of the pic
(Mountain). However, I can see it and load it in other progs? Do I need to
resize or something (it is 717x480)? How can I use it?

Have you tried saving a copy of the picture in the C:\windows\web\wallpaper folder?
Have you tried the "browse" option available when picking a wallpaper? (recommend only as last
choice).

That's exactly what I have done. The pic is in Wallpaper, but when I browse,
to use it, it is not recognized.

Open the picture in an image-editing program (MS Paint, Irfanview) and
Save As some-different-name.jpg. If you don't resize it, 717x480 will be
quite small on any Desktop but you can see if it works.

Convert it to a .bmp and see if that helps.
