For the past couple of days I have been receiving the following error.
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Outlook
Event Category: None
Event ID: 25
Date: 6/24/2007
Time: 12:17:23 AM
User: N/A
Computer: Anonymous
Description:
Cannot load personal free/busy data. 'Microsoft® Windows® Operating System'
exited without properly closing your Outlook data file 'C:\. . . \. . .
\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\. . . .ost'. 'Microsoft
Office Outlook' must be restarted. If this error message recurs, contact
support for 'Microsoft® Windows® Operating System' for assistance.

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition SP2
Software in Question: Outlook 2007 Professional

1. Why is this error occuring?
2. How can it be corrected?

Hi Terrence

First, try running Outlook with the /cleanfreebusy switch. Start > Run >
"Outlook /cleanfreebusy" (without the quotes) should do it, but if not, look
in Outlook Help for "command line switches" for full instructions.

If that doesn't fix it, you could try running in Online mode to see if the
problem still occurs. If it goes away, try recreating your .OST file.

If the problem still occurs in Online mode, get your Exchange administrator
to check you have the necessary permissions to the free/busy folder on the
server, and/or hard-deleting your free/busy message from the free/busy public
folder. (They should know what/where that is.)
