Cannot launch IE6 after installing win xp service pack 2

hi guys,
after installing win xp home edition service pack 2,i'm not able to use
IE6.When i click the IE icon,it opens and close almost immediately.Other
programs working fine.I have to remove service pack 2 in order to get IE
working back.Any solution to this problem.Thanks in advance...
