I get the following error msg after typing the Domain Name in followed by
the Admin User Account name and password:

"The network path cannot be found":

I've have made sure the TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper service was started as stated
in KB article but with no avail

Check the ipconfig/all. Does everything point to the server-IP?

Hi there,

this could be a DNS name resolution problem, please check the following KB article to check for proper record registration:

How to Verify That SRV DNS Records Have Been Created for a Domain WGID:493
ID: 816587

Install the support tools on the Windows 2003 domain controller for further testing on SRV records.
Run the following tool from command to test DNS registration 'netdiag /test:dns'
Then you can run 'netdiag /fix' if problems with dns test, and stop an restart the Netlogog service.

If DNS test is OK, then make sure that the Windows 2000 client points to the DNS server that is authoritative for the domain and then try to join again.
