I have a PC with a Abit BH6 motherboard, running Windows
98SE. Windows XP Home Edition refuses to install (upgrade)
because it detects an unsupported device: Highpoint UDMA
366 hard drive controller. This motherboard does not have
this controller, it uses an Intel IDE chipset. The Abit
BE6 uses the Highpoint controller (I have one running XP
just fine).
There was a setup command line switch to disable this
faulty detection.
Does anyone remember the switch, or have other suggestions?

Thanks,

Jack R.

I would appreciate replys cc'd to email, please.

Thanks Rich,
That's a useful site, but I can't find anything there
that helps with this problem.
