cannot install new devices

Hi, running XP home upgrade on comp. cannot make connection with
coolpix nikon; downloaded program, but plugging in camera no go.
bought Mp3 Lyra is supposed self install, no go took it back to store, they
showed me it worked. seems like iam missing a connection or program?

Do you have this problem with all of your usb devices?
Have you entered the bios on start up to see if the usb legacy is
enabled? Try that first. Make sure both devices have new batteries.
Post back your results.
