Cannot Install a 2nd USB Mass Storage

I have a PNY SmartMedia Reader with a 32MB SMC which
works just fine in my Win XP Pro machine. Then I bought a
256MB Sandisk Cruzer Mini and it claims that no driver is
needed and it should be automatically detected. But when
I plugged it in, Hardware Wizard reports that no driver
was found for this device. I went to Sandisk.com and
there is no driver for XP. When I try it on other
machines in my workplace, it gets recognized
automatically. What is causing my machine to not accept a
2nd USB Mass Storage device? I remember trying another
PNY SmartMedia Reader a month ago. It is exactly the same
PNY SmartMedia Reader model, but XP still cannot
automatically load it. Bottomline, I cannot install any
2nd USB drive. Please help.
