Hello,

Would appreciate any help I cna get on this problem.

I have MS Office Small Business installed on my IBM Thinkpad running
WIN XP PRO. Since Office Small Business does not include Powerpoint,
I installed Powerpoint separately from an old copy of Office97.
Powerpoint seems to work OK, except for Organizational Charts. When I
try to insert an organizational chart, I get error: "The server
application, source file, or item can's be found."

Tried searching for orgchart.exe, and is not on my C drive. Ran
setup.exe again and looked for components, but setup only gave me the
option of "Powerpoint". The orgchart files ae on the setup CD.

Any advice as to how to add orgchart would be greatly appreciated.

Generally it's not a good idea to install older versions of software after
newer versions. The other way 'round is safer.

But as it's already done, maybe we can improve on it.

When you run Setup, what options do you get. At some point, I think you get
the chance to choose a Custom installation. This is what you'll need in order
to add org charts.

But in some ways, you're better off drawing your own org charts with PPT's
built in drawing tools (rectangles and connector shapes)
