I have moved my .pst files to a subfolder in documents. However, when I try
to import, I get the following message:

Messages cannot be imported from the MAPI client.

An error has occurred.

There is not help available to deal with this. Does anyone have a suggestion?

You have to have Outlook installed to import a pst file.

Install Outlook. The import/export processes between Outlook and Outlook
Express/Windows Mail require portions of each application. The error you
see indicates that the there is no MAPI client (and that would be Outlook)
available to extract message from the .PST files. You need both programs
installed and functional for this to work.
