I do not have the option to import .csv files into Microsoft Access. I was
having this same problem w/ .xls, but found the answer on how to fix that on
the forum (the fix worked). I now need to know how to enable the .csv files
(as soon as possible).

Thank you.

What version of Access and what service pack is it on? Look at Help, About.

Jerry,

Microsoft 2003. I am not sure where to find service pack. I looked at help
and about and there was no help when the option just isn't there.

JEO,

Go to Help... then select About Microsoft Office Access... In the window
that opens up you will see the SP (Service Pack) number, as well as, the
version information.

Gina,

Would the following be the service pack: Microsoft 2003 11.5614.6568? If so,
now what do I need to do in order to fix this?

Thank you.

JEO,

It is SP3 which still does not explain your issue. Did you still have the
CD's to install Access?

I have a disk my uncle gave me with the programs. I was having issues with my
laptop late last year and had to take my laptop to be fixed. When the issues
I was having were fixed this problem appeared. I was guessing it would be
another easy fix like the .xls files. I fixed that.

Please help.

JEO,

I was going to suggest reloading Access using Custom or Advanced (I forget
what the choices are) to insure you have installed the Advanced Filters.
However, using disks your Uncle gave you... well that is up to you becuase
you should have your own license.

And now that I think about it... in the drop down box, do you have the
option to import .txt files?
