Hi!

I just hooked up an Altec Lansing 5.1 surround system
to my Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card.
I am unable to hear any audio coming from the rear
speakers, and when I opened "Advanced Audio Properties"
from the "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties" in the
Control Panel, I found that under Speaker Settings--
Advanced--Speaker Setup, it is set to Laptop Speakers for
some reason. Normally, I would simply change this to a
surround option, but the scroll bar has been "grayed
out." Does anyone know how to change this? It is very
frustrating.

Thanks,

Bryce

Hi... I also have a TBSC, had it for about 3 or 4 years now and still happy
with it. I'v e had both Monsoon mm-700 and mm-1000 hooked up to it and in
the turtle beach control panel set the speaker mode to 4 speaker. I just
replaced the mm-700 with PM-14's and just love the sound. I noticed that in
the TB control panel, for 5.1, you have to have the speaker mode set to 6
speaker. Good luck, the TBSC is still a great sounding card.
