I have a PC that cannot seem to "forget" the stored username/password
for another PC on the local network. I had to copy a file from my
local pc to that target pc, using the C$ administrative share. I had
checked the "Remember my Password" box so that I could easily copy
other files without having to retype my password for that PC.
Now, Windows will not forget me nor can I find a way to clear out this
username/password. This is preventing me from logging onto a company
webpage that utilizes passthrough authentication from Windows (it
attempts to log me in at that uesr instead of my real domain login).
How can I make it so that when I try to access the c$ shared folder,
Windows will treat it as if it's the "first time" accessing that
networked PC and asks you to input a username and password or just to
forget me completely?
It's kinda hard to explain, so if there are any questions, please let
me know. I'm at my wits end!
