When I turn in my laptop, it boots up fine......then it hangs up right before it goes to the user login screen....any ideas?

Have you recently installed any software? Try booting
into safe mode. Press F8 a bunch of times right after
you turn the computer on. Boot into safe mode. Find the
system restore option under the "system tools" Use a
restore point back before the computer starting having
problems. Hope it helps. Good luck.
