I use Bellsouth and would like to see if someone can help me, since they have
not been able to!
I have followed all the directions, and even looked online beofre contacting
Bellsouth.

If you have followed directions, you must have some sort of
mail account set up in Windows Mail? What happens when
you check mail or try to send mail? Any error message?
If so, right-click on it, copy, and paste into a reply here.

Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3,
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19

This is waht comes up EVERY time! It says I have 84 messages, then acts
like it is going to download, then the server tiems out, and it asks if I
want to wait or stop. Then the error message is there!
Any clue???

If you have antivirus software, disable email scanning. See
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

Also, your account name is not the same as the server name, so you need to
use your account name under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers.

This problem is most likely caused by your antivirus program.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or Norton
security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled.
Replace with a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
