Hi: I am not able to forward messages. I have to cut and paste the body and
any images or attachements into new emails. I have double checked all
outging and incoming settings and they apprear to be correct. I have also
checked the Norton firewall and it seems to be confirgured correctly. this
is a new problem which stated a couple of weeks ago.
Any suggesttions?
Thanks,
Rich

Well, could you define 'not able to forward messages'? Is the button greyed
out? Do you get an error? Does the send button not activate?

Also, what version of outlook and what kind of mail server are you using?

Task 'incoming.verizon.net - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable
to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 550 5.7.1 Authentication Required'

I'm not sure but I think this problem might have begun after I updated
Norton internet security. I checked the setting and they appear ok.

Thanks for the help.

Interesting. I'm not sure I'd be thinking Norton, but, if that's what has
changed, then I would try turning off all the email hooks in Norton,
rebooting, making sure they're still off and trying to forward again. But
that's just basic troubleshooting, to undo whatever changed in whatever way
possible.

As a lark, can you try emailing yourself and then forwarding that mail?
