Hi,

I reinstalled XP, and cannot connect to the wireless internet any
longer. there is no wireless network icon under my network
connections. I used to connect to wireless with a usb connection-
when i look in device manager, it shows 'USB device' under 'other
devices' with a yellow '!' and and big '?'. it appears i dont have the
usb driver installed after i reinstalled the OS? I dont have a cd to
install this... do i need one? can anyone help me to install the usb
device driver without an internet connection, and without a cd to do
so?

thank you!!

Hello,

What is the brand and model number of the USB wireless device? Try visiting
the site of the manufacturer and downloading the drivers from there and
transfer them to the PC via a memory stick.

Hello,

Yes, you can Continue it. Make sure you are installing the right version of
the driver - see my previous post.

Hi again,

I downloaded the driver, but the USB still isnt reading in my device
driver. (same problem- it is a yellow '?' and '!' under the Other
Devices and within that on the USB Device. Is there another driver
that I need to install first?

Hello,

What is the device status when you double-click it in Device Manager
(right-click 'my computer', properties, hardware tab, device manager)?

Again, ensure you have installed the correct driver as there are two
versions of your USB wireless stick.

Have you installed the chipset drivers for your mobo (and every other driver
not included with Windows)??
