Running Win XP Pro. FrontPage 2000. IIS 5
When I open FrontPage, I get an error that states:
"Could not find a web server at "web name". Please check to make sure
that the web server name is valid and your proxy settings are set correctly.
If you are sure that everything is correct, the web server may be
temporarily out of service."
I get the same error with FPSE 2002 or FPSE2000 installed. I think there's
a problem with IIS, but the self righteous assholes on that newsgroup claim
it can't possibly be "their" product, so it must be a FrontPage problem.
I'm desperate. Because I can't get FP to work correctly on this new
computer (moved over from Win2K) , my web site is essentially off line. My
FrontPage based shopping cart is not working and I'm losing a bunch of sales
as a result.
Anyone who's seen this before and has an idea, I'm all ears.
