I am having some trouble with automatic sync. Recently my outlook 2000
(using XP SP3) stopped synchronizing automatically to my hd when closing.
Now, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't - no particular pattern I can
figure out. I think I have fixed this in the past by deleting .ost files, but
now I can't find them. They're not in C:\Documents and
Settings\%currentuser%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.
The only data file in there looks like one called "Outlook" that's about
41,000kb, which is modified every time I sync manually. Should I delete that
one?

I've got a dumb question for you but do you have the viewing of file
extensions turned on? Maybe XP is obscuring the OST part from you.

Uh-oh the sync worked once, then I opened and closed again and it didn't sync
the second time. Do you know what else might cause this? thanks for your
assistance.
