Cannot find file association for winword.exe

Those are the types of error messages that I am getting
whenever I try to start any program. SOmetimes no message
at all.

The last sane thing I remembered try to do was update
with SP1 and it didn't work, only partial and machine
froze.

ANy suggestions?

Try removing and reintstalling Word.
