Each folder can have an individually-specified archive PST. Check the
properties of the folder from which the messsage was removed. RIght-click
that folder, choose Properties, select the AutoArchive tab and see if a
different PST is specified.
If that doesn't pan out, open the folder Outlook uses as the default folder
for PST creation and see if another PST was created there.
Did you restart Outlook after changing the Archive PST location but before
trying the Archive process?
