Cannot find contact in OL03

I use OL 2003. On my desktop computer, when I am on the screen for Mail and
type the last name of a contact into the field next to addressbook on the
standard toolbar, it takes me to the record for that contact. But it does
not.do that on my other computer (even though if I go to the contacts screen
I can search for the contact and find it). What setting do I need to change
to make the contact reachable from the mail screen? Thank you in advance.

Right click your contacts Folder | properties | outlook address book | tick
the box to show as an address book.

If that box is greyed out, you have yet to configure an addressbook on that
computer. Do that, then tick the box.
