Hi
I've no idea what device a "dvd maker" via USB might be?
You state your PC has 4 USB ports, but you also state you
have a "new usb2.0 high speed internal PCI card"?
Is it installed? Did you install it, if so, this link details
issues concerned with malfunctioning USB cards.

http://www.usbman.com/Guides/Upgrade...ufacturers.htm

And whatever the USB device "dvd maker" maybe, it will
have came bundled with installation software?
Also, this is the WMM forum, movie maker is far from happy
capturing via USB devices.
