Hi

I hope someone can help me.

I am trying to connect to my office computer through
remote desktop connection ("RDC") using a VPN but keep
bumping into trouble as i start the RDC.

Both computers have XP Pro on and the VPN connection is
established correctly. I can ping the IP address of the
computer i want to connect to and this looks fine.

Once i start the RDC i type in the IP address and click
connect. Next the computer either freezes or shows an
error message which simple says RDC must shut down.

Helkp would be much appreciated as this is frustrating as
i dont know what to do.

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

David

Does the PC your trying to connect to have an NVIDA graphics card?
If so disable the NVIDA Display Service.

Has either computer had SP2 loaded?

If so, get patch: WindowsXP-KB884020-x86-enu.exe
