I have Windows XP Professional 5.1 and IE6.0 and Javascripts will not work
for me!

All the help files I've seen say to go to the Advanced tab on Internet
options and click enable JAVA boxes and/or click to clear the JIT Compiler
for virtual machine enabled box. BUT NONE OF THESE ARE LISTED THERE FOR ME!

What's the deal? Much thanks for any help...

Have you tried downloading and installing Sun Java?
