Text boxes are VML (vector markup language), not Text
If you have downlevel images selected under VML Graphics (Tools Page Options Compatibility), FP creates the downlevel .gif images in
a hidden thicket folder managed from the xml code
How did you transfer from 1 machine to another?
- did you copy all files/ folders including hidden system folders?
If from a CD did you remove all read only attributes from all files/folder at all levels?
You may have to recreate the shape art
IMHO
Don't use them as they are not cross browser compatible

| I have just recently upgraded to Windows XP and
| transfered all the files i use for my website from a
| computer running windows 98 to new one running xp.
| Frontpage 2002 is on both computers. The problem is i
| cannot edit any text boxes as the computer thinks they
| are pictures and comes up with the following
| message "This picture was automaticaly generated from
| vector markup language stored elsewhere in the page.
| Changes to this picture may be lost...". Also when i try
| to edit pages my linkbars disappear. Can anyone please
| shed light as to what is wrong. Thanks..
