I did a Quick Clean with my McAfee, I think it was a mistake, since now I
cannot download certain files like one that I tried to download with the
extension ".exe" using my MSN connection. I get some dialogs saying that I
need to find it in the web site, etc., and sometimes some other questions
and I really cannot do anything in the end.
How can I resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance.

How are you downloading? A web browser? Which one?
What is the EXACT wording of the error?

For example, I just tried to open the Download Manager of MSN,
I have MSN, and I get the following messages:

Windows cannot open this file
File: MSN9.downloadhost
To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it. Sindows
can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually selecgt from
a list of programs in your computer.
What do you want to do?
Use the Web service to find the appropriate program
Select the program from a list

Then I have the options of clicking OK or Cancel

I did not have this problem before, it just happened after I used the Quick
Clean, apparently it messed some of my settings.
Is MSN a web browner?
Thanks

I resolved the issue already. I did a register cleaning by mistake but I
was able to reverse the process with a Windows Restore.
Thanks.
