The jpg file size is about 50 Mb.
It cannot be displayed in my Windows XP Professional IE6. I just got a red X
in a big rectangle. The IE version is 6.0.2900.2180.
However, the 50 MB jpg image can be displayed in IE 6.0.3790.3959, which is
on Windows 2003 Server.

Any ideas?

That file size may exceed the machine's available Temporary Internet Files
cache. See IE Tools > Internet Options > General > Temporary Internet Files

Thank you very much for your helps, PA Bear.

I tried to delete all Temporary Internet Files (including offline files) as
you pointed out.
Since I have an IE6 browser on Windows 2003 Server and the 50 MB jpg image
can be displayed on it, I changed my Win-XP IE's Temporary Internet Files
setting same with Win2k3 server. What I changed are:
1. Tools > Internet Options > General > Temporary Internet Files > Settings
> Select "Automatically" (It was "Every visit to the page")

2. Tools > Internet Options > General > Temporary Internet Files > Settings
> Temporary Internet files folder > Amount of disk space to use: 937MB (It
was 50 MB)

But, I still got a Red X in a big rectangle.

Rendering changed between IE6 and IE7.
If the image looks slightly suspect it may not be rendered in IE7
whereas it might be rendered in IE6. Perhaps the same protection
has now been added to later versions of IE6?

Can you post a sample URL?
Otherwise try using the IE Developer's Toolbar
for its Images, View Image Report for more clues.

Hi,
Turn on the Windows Firewall from Control Panel> Windows Firewall and
disable any third-party firewall, security suite, other security programs.
See if a security program is blocking the image.

Or, possible workaround... See if you can right-click and save the image to
open with the program of your choice.
