After deleting history, cookies and temp internet files
(and reboot) still get suggested web addresses come up
when typing an address. Autocomplete function does this
(I think). Any suggestings appreciated. (Only recent
change is downloading Ad-aware. Thx.

get a program called "windows washer". check download.com
for somethign like that.

You probably have corruption in the History folder or it's index.dat file.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/fre...ory-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
