Have two partiotions. C and D
Re-installed XP PRO on C, while D contained the documents..At some point
after the install and multiple updates from MSFT update such as SP2, and
security updates, windows created several folders on my D drive!!! some of
the names:

bb5d5ed4aec2082c9c38599c
422bd075900751d508f362

Subfolders include folder sp1...i can't get into that, says access
denied..Can't change access either...when trying to delete them, message
comes up (see post Subject title)...tried renaming main folder and still
can't delete..Please HELP!!!

Thank you.

Those are remnants of the installation of the various updates that for some
reason were not removed. See this article about taking ownership, or from
Start | Help and Support search on Ownership. Take ownership of the
folders, and then you should be able to delete them.
