I have found a file on my computer. It is 0kb in size. It
is in documents and setting as a file... no extension. It
WILL NOT let me delete this file. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
MM

There are basically 2 reasons that prevent deleating a file.

Permissions - Right click on the file and check the security tab to make
certain you have rights to the file.

File is open - A program has open handle on the file. You can close the
program that has it open or just restart the computer (assuming it is
not a program that starts at bootup that is opening the file). I bet
this is the reason you can't delete it.

One other possibility I can think of is if name of the file is a reserved
name in Windows. If it is, follow the steps in Knowledge Base article 120716
How to Remove Files with Reserved Names in Windows
(http://support.microsoft.com/?id=120716) to delete it.
