- When I click on "Dismiss" it returns the following error message:
Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. Could not
complete the operation. One or more parameter values ae not valid.

- When I click on"Open Item" it returns the following error message:
Cannot open the itme for this reminder. The end date you entered
occurs before the start date.

I have looked for the event in the calendar, from 1999 to 2009 and cannot
locate it. Please advise me how to delete the reminder.

I checked existing threads on this board and couldn't find anything that
worked. That included the /CleanReminders and /ResetFolders switches.

Thanks,
John

Display your calendar using the Recurrence view. Then search for your item which should be obvious. Delete it.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, John asked:

I have this problem in Outlook 2007. I found the item in recurrence view. I
tried to delete it and it only says: "Cannot open this item. Cannot locte
recurrence information for this appointment."

Did you try what Milly suggested in the very message you quoted?

Be real, the person obviously already tried that. I know I did! This is an issue with Outlook where the reminder is set for an item that already has been deleted. We are looking for a fix, not something silly. Now what?

has anybody tried to restart outlook using cleanreminders?

1.) Close outlook
2.) run --> outlook /cleanreminders

not sure if this works in a version higher than 2000 let me know.
