I have been having problems deleting messages from Outlook Express 6. At
first, only a few messages could not be deleted, now it's most / all. When I
have a message open and click the delete button, I get the error message
"Message could not be deleted" twice in a row. I have resorted to creating a
folder and moving them there just to get them out of the way, but this is
taking up a lot of space and needs to be corrected. Cannot find anything like
this in the online help database.

It would really improve your chance to get an answer to your Outlook
Express question if you would ask it in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

This group is for Microsoft Office Outlook, which - despite the
similarity of the name - is in no way related to Outlook Express.

I'd love to, but I can't find one. There is no OE group under "office
discussion groups". Can you direct me to one?

microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general is one, but I think it is post-OE6.

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress seems to bill
itself as OE6 and previous. I would start there.

If you are using the web interface on microsoft.com/communities, this is all
under the Windows aegis.

Of course it's not under "Office discussion groups" because it's not part of
Office. It's part of Internet Explorer.

You're using the web interface to the newsgroups. Change the URL you're using
so that "microsoft.public.outlook.general" becomes
"microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general"
