I have two files that popped up and I can't get rid of them. They are empty
and I tried all the stuff from the archive forums and nothing. They are not
messing up my computer but they are on my desktop and I can't stand looking
at them. I can't even move them or rename them so I can move them to another
folder. I need a product name that erases anything without having to confirm
its file source or read it from disk or some manual way to get rid of them.
Please don't reply back with safe mode or unlocker. This is simple but
apparently complicated to get rid of.

Hi :-)

The folders may have names including an invalid character, such as a
trailing space, that is causing Windows to refuse to have anything to do
with them :-)

Try this:

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to your Desktop folder (this will
probably be C:\Documents and Settings\Yourusername\Desktop.) Leave
Explorer there and open a Command window (Start | Run, type cmd
<enter>.)

In the Command window type:

RD \\?\

Go back to the Explorer window. Click on the first undeletable folder,
drag it and drop it at the end of the command you started -- the folder
name should appear there with quotes around it. Click to place your
cursor at the end of the line (make sure it's outside the quotes) and
press Enter.

Any luck?
