Using Outlook 2007 with SP 1 in XP Pro Platform with SP 3. When I try and
delete more than 10-12 emails from the deleted files folder, I get an error
message that "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the
Problem persists, restart Outlook." Restarting makes no difference. If I list
them as junk mail and add to the blocked senders list, I can delete them from
the Junk E-mail folder. I cannot click on one, skip several and highlight
them and delete them. I get the same error. I have 1000+ to delete and don't
really want to make blocked sender files for all of these.

Have you tried Help, Office diagnostics?

Can you shift+delete? Right click and empty deleted folder? Set autoarchive
to delete messages in that folder that are over a few days old?

I've tried all the ways i can think of to delete these. I can delete in any
way I want for the first 10-12. After that, it will not delete from the
deleted items file in any way shape or form. I'm trying the autoarchive now.

Only other option I can see is to move them to a different file and see if i
can delete from there.

I tried the help / office diag. with no problems found. I tried to move them
to the junk file and it saiys that they cannot be moved because they cannot
be deleted. When I try and auto archive, I get an error message.
