Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk.

Running Windows 2000 Server, NTFS disk/file format.
How can this be corrected ? I am the system administrator
with full permissions on all files. All folders and files
including hidden and system files are visible.
Already read Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 814594 .
Already did cleanup, chkdisk, defrag etc.
