I have two empty folders (0 bytes) which I cannot delete. I keep getting the
message "Cannot delete file (folder): Cannot read from the source file or
disc." I have tried using command prompt with DOS command "rd" but with the
same result. I know they are not occupying disc space but would still like to
get rid of them. Can anyone help please. Many Thanks.

i understand where he's coming from, you may just not want and empty folder
there, well, try and delete anything in the folder, also try and then disable
eny delete prohibiting optios and then restart and see if it deletes,
otherwise google it

Can you try deleting the folder from a boot disk like Recovery Console.
That will figure out all possibilities of the folder being used that tme.]

Try "delete fxp files" program after that.

They've gone! Murphy's "unlocker" did the trick. Even though they weren't
actually locked it was still able to delete them for me. I will certainly
hang on to this application! Many thanks to all who answered my query.
